Yandicoogina Iron Ore Mine – Custom Valve and SPI Package
In 2014, design engineer Calibre and contractor Civmec engaged us to supply actuated valves and a Special Piping Items (SPI) package for Rio Tinto’s Yandi Sustaining Project.
Our Perth workshop assembled, tested, and tagged pneumatic actuated globe valves. The valves ranged in size from 50mm through to 200mm. We also supplied an SPI package that included strainers, Victaulic couplings and fittings, Maric valves, water meters, and hose assemblies.
The project successfully extended the life of the mine and increased processing capacity to 56 million tonnes per year.
