Cloudbreak Mine – Victaulic Pipes and Fittings for Plant Upgrade
Cloudbreak mine is located 150 kilometres north of Newman in WA’s Pilbara region and is owned and operated by Fortescue Metals Group (FMG). The mine produces approximately 40 million tonnes of iron ore per year.
In 2012, as an Australian distributor we worked with Kiewit to supply Victaulic pipes and fittings and mining hose for the wet front end upgrade of the ore processing facility. This upgrade enabled the plant to process wetter ore with more fines, which increased the mine’s throughput capacity.
