Tropicana Gold Mine – Actuated Valve Package for Optimisation Project
In 2016, Anglogold Ashanti contracted Mintrex to undertake an optimisation project at the Tropicana gold mine. This included reducing bottlenecks in the processing plant and the construction of two more leaching tanks.
As we had supplied the valve package during the plant’s construction in 2012, Mintrex engaged us to supply the actuated valve package for this upgrade project. We assembled, tested, and tagged the 78 actuated valves at our Perth workshop and delivered to site.
The project succeeded in improving throughput at the plant from 6.5 million tonnes per year to 7.6 million tonnes.
