The Slurryflex SJF-Series Restrained Rubber Expansion Joint incorporates a control unit system that sets its maximum allowable movement. By limiting the amount of expansion or contraction, the restrained joint averts damage from excessive movement of the pipe system.
Like any other expansion joint, it also absorbs pipe movements, relieves stress, reduces noise and vibration, and compensates for pipe misalignment. It’s suitable for abrasive slurries, mineral processing plants, tailings lines, sand, and gravel.
