Shark Bay Salt – Custom Valves and SPI Package for New Washplant
Design engineer Abesque engaged us to supply the manual and actuated valve package, pipes, and fittings for the new salt washplant at the Shark Bay Salt mine in Onslow.
All the items supplied needed high corrosion tolerance. This was due to the super saline brine and saline spray on the exterior of the valves and pipework.
We worked with Abesque to design a fit-for-purpose, stainless steel valve package. We treated pipes and fittings with custom paint to protect against the highly corrosive environment.
The team in our Perth workshop assembled, tested, and tagged the valves and package which were delivered on site ready for installation. This allowed Abesque to successfully commission the new washplant on time and in full.
