Paraburdoo Iron Ore Mine – Mining Hose Package for Tailings Pipeline
In 2016, the Rio Tinto project team engaged us to supply mining hose for a new tailings pipeline at their Paraburdoo mine. They needed mining hose that could fit seamlessly into the existing pipework and withstand a 50 bar working pressure. Using slurry hose allowed for flexibility in sections of the pipeline with bends and changes in elevation.
We worked with the project team to recommend and supply DN350 Slurryflex SA-Series hose. The hose was rated for pressure up to 50 bar and designed for long lasting wear resistance to abrasion, cutting, and tearing.
Our production team in Brisbane custom made the hose to meet the project teams’ design specifications and arranged delivery to site in time for the project to start.
