Cobre Panama Copper Mine – Mining Hose for New Plant
Cobra Panama is one of the largest new copper mines in the last decade. In its first year of operation in 2019, the plant produced more than 145,000 tonnes of copper. The mine is owned and operated by a subsidiary of First Quantum Minerals.
Lycopodium engaged us to manufacture and supply a mining hose package for slurry transfer at the new plant. Our Brisbane facility manufactured Slurryflex SC mining hose pre-formed bends, ranging in size from DN200–700. The Slurryflex SC series is custom made to specified angles and bend radius. This makes it easier to install because the bends are engineered to fit precisely into the existing pipework.
