Co-O Gold Mine – High-Pressure Valves for Underground Shaft
In 2012, Medusa Mining engaged us to design a high-pressure reducing valve system to supply water to the new underground shaft at the Co-O gold mine.
The project team needed a robust, ‘set and forget’ system that could handle poor water quality to the underground operations.
We worked with the team to design a fixed rate, high-pressure reducing ratio valve system. The system automatically reduces pressure at fixed sections of the piping, so there’s no need for manual operation. Our Australian valve specialists selected brass body and stainless steeling internal trim to cope with the poor water quality.
